Heart of the Matter

My early clinical training was firmly rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

Since then I have acquired training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), have earned the designation of "Certified Practitioner" in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and am currently a "Consultant in Training - CIT" with the EMDR International Association. Most recently I have graduated the IFS Institute Level 1 training as an Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist.

 

In my counselling work, my formal training, combined with my personal life experiences, is used in a flexible and creative way to help you implement desired changes in your life.

 

I engage in ongoing personal work, professional development, and clinical consultation to ensure that my clinical work meets the high standards set by the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). All counsellors in this association have to abide by their Code of Ethical Conduct and Standards of Clinical Practice.
